Harmony Borax Works – Death Valley
In the foreground, a massive old borax wagon dominates this scene. Its huge wooden wheels and iron fittings are worn and weathered, and the cylindrical tank it carries looks heavy and scarred from use—built for hauling unimaginable loads across brutal desert terrain. Blue and amber light washes over the wagon, emphasizing its texture and age, like a relic preserved under stage lighting.
Behind it, low stone ruins and earth-toned structures from the Harmony Borax Works sit quietly, partially swallowed by darkness. The desert floor is flat and sparse, stretching toward distant, barely visible mountains.
Above it all, the Milky Way explodes across the sky in a dense, luminous band. Stars crowd the frame, with clouds of cosmic dust glowing in purples, whites, and golds. The sky feels alive and immense, dwarfing the human-made objects below.
