Goniobranchus kuniei Nudibranch – Puerto Galera
This is a close-up, underwater photograph of a vibrant nudibranch, Goniobranchus kuniei. Its body is primarily a bright yellow, adorned with irregular, dark purple spots. A striking border of deep violet and electric blue outlines the ruffled mantle of the nudibranch, creating a dramatic contrast with the yellow and purple. Emerging from the top and left side of the nudibranch are delicate, feathery gills, which are a pale gray or off-white color with darker speckles. Two prominent, orange-colored rhinophores, sensory organs, are visible on the front of its head, each with a ribbed texture. This image was taken off Puerto Galera on Midanoro in the Philippines.
